SVHPC HACK FORGE 2026 INTERNAL HACKATHON COMPETITION

The competition was successfully conducted on 25 August 2026, with 57 teams participating enthusiastically. 22 teams were shortlisted for evaluation by two distinguished jury panels. The event provided students with an excellent platform to showcase their innovation, creativity, teamwork, and technical skills.

Guest lecture on Smart Lighting Using IoT

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and the Department of Computer Engineering jointly organized a Guest Lecture on ” Smart Lighting Using IoT ” for the diploma students to enhance their knowledge of emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
The resource person for the session was Mr. R. Vigneshwaran, Senior Technical Engineer, VI Micro Systems. He shared his industry experience and explained how the Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming conventional lighting systems into intelligent and energy-efficient smart lighting solutions.

ANTI-DRUG PLEDGE – 2026

A “10-Crore Drug-Free Pledge” event was successfully conducted at Shree Venkateswara Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya as part of the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” (Drug-Free India Campaign) of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
In this event, organized to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of tobacco products, students and teachers participated and pledged to completely avoid tobacco and lead a healthy, disciplined life.

Industrial visit

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a one-day industrial visit for the Second Year and Third Year Diploma EEE students on 06.08.2026 to KIN Railway Equipment Private Limited.

The objective of the industrial visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practices by exposing students to modern manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and industrial safety procedures followed in the railway equipment manufacturing sector.

MASS ANTI-DRUG PLEDGE – 2026

Shree Venkateshwara Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, Othakuthirai, Gobi, organized a Mass Anti-Drug Pledge Programme on 11th August 2026 to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, safe and drug-free society.

A total of 1,200 students actively participated in the Mass Anti-Drug Pledge, comprising 901 boys and 299 girls. The students collectively took the pledge to stay away from drugs and other addictive substances and to encourage their friends, family members and community to lead a healthy and responsible life.

Industrial visit

Shree Venkateshwara Hi-Tech Polytechnic College, Gobichettipalayam, Department of Civil Engineering organized an industrial visit to Constro Mega 2026 at Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, on Monday, 13th July 2026. A total of 29 students from the II and III Year Civil Engineering programme, accompanied by faculty members, participated in the visit. Students explored a wide range of innovative construction materials and modern technologies, including fly ash bricks, Porotherm blocks, Monier roofing tiles, lithium battery systems, solar energy solutions, UPVC windows and doors, aluminium interiors, RO water purification systems, CCTV surveillance, smart security locks, solar-powered cameras, and Jindal Panther TMT bars.
