COMMON EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT

On August 7, 2024, our third-year students visited the Veerapandi Common Effluent Treatment Plant, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of industrial effluent treatment. The visit, under the title “A Case Study on Common Effluent Treatment Plant,” helped bridge the curriculum gap in Environmental Engineering. Dr. D. Suresh Kumar, M.E., Ph.D., the Plant Manager, delivered an informative speech on advanced technologies in industrial effluent treatment. The students also had a virtual experience at the CETP, enhancing their understanding of sustainable industrial development and the plant’s role in mitigating environmental impacts.
